It's the time of the year when your kids turn from their happy mood to their lazy and moody feelings. Now no matter how many tips we tell you, your child will still be sad that all the fun is gone, while depressing fall is on its way. Our tips will actually help the transition go easier, so your kids are ready for school.
Tip #1: Set Sleeping Schedule Early
A wise man once said, "Happiness is not having to set the alarm for the next day." Well, you might just forget about that, before Tip #1 is all about getting enough sleep. Many parents tell their kids to sleep at 9 or 10 the day before school starts. Actually, that will take your child longer to adjust to school, as the day before they probably stayed up till 11.What we suggest is to limit a curfew 2 weeks before school starts. So that once school rolls, your child will get enough sleep.💤
Tip #2: Create a family calendar that tracks everyone's activities and commitments.
To make sure that your kids stay on task and don't get side tracked by thinking it's still summer, you should make a "School Schedule." In the schedule, you should write down everything you want your child to do before and after coming from school. You can tell them what time to wake up, or what time they can watch TV, and when they have to read. This also will make your child feel more organized and they will feel like they also have certain responsibilities.
Tip #3: Have something your child is looking forward to.
Everyone knows that kids hate when the back to school coupons come in the mail. It's the dreadful time of the year when the kids think that all the happiness in the world is gone and that they won't be happy till next summer. Well, you as parents can change that. What you should do is schedule a play date or something fun a week after back to school. Your kids will think that it's almost time for fun, so they will keep looking forward. This will keep them focused at school and won't be sad all the time.
We hope these tips from us to you, will help the time of back to school, be easier and go faster for your child. Because Summer 2018 is just around the corner. 😉😉
